Pay Range $25.00-$30.00 Hourly (DOE) + Benefits
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Payroll Analyst works under the supervision of the Payroll Supervisor and is responsible for assisting in performing key payroll projects, processing, audits, and verifications as they relate to payroll and deductions.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Knowledge of relevant software programs related to the processing of workday payroll
- Interface with HR to ensure all payroll transactions are authorized and in compliance with Company policies and procedures
- Interface with employees as needed to answer their questions in regards to payroll-related issues
- Perform payroll and benefit audits as necessary to ensure the accuracy of data processed through payroll
- Review and corroboration of time-keeping data with payroll input
- Assist in making sure all quarterly reports, including new hires, are being prepared by responsible parties (third-party payroll vendors, etc.)
- Assist in the maintenance of files/binders containing payroll reports, quarterly contribution reports, and annual reports
- Assist with year-end adjustments, W-2s, 941, and related items
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Certifications:
- High School Graduate or GED
Experience:
- 2-3 years of Accounting and Payroll processing full cycle payroll-related experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 2-3 years’ Workday, Time attendance Payroll Experience
- Excellent skills using MS Office, Excel, V-look ups, Pivot tables, Google Docs and Sheets, Timekeeping and Payroll, Processing software Workday and ADP Tax
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- General math skills
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent data entry skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving solving and decision-making skills
- Effective verbal, listening, and written communication skills
- Effective organizational, stress, and time management skills
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently or as a team member
- Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure
- Experience with HRIS system preferred
- Experience with workday Time and attendance, payroll, ADP tax, State set up and Garnishments.
